Hot off the Press-Friday, September 21

Just finished 3 back to back shows which really wasn't bad since my last show was July 15th.  Labor Day weekend Jason and I went to Milwaukee for the Third Ward Art Fair.  We had a great time eating lots of food and selling a few bags.  Love that area of Milwaukee.  The next weekend was Downer's Grove.  It was a show I added last minute and was well worth it.  Their downtown area is so cute.  Last weekend was Edward's Place in my home town of Springfield.  It was fun to see some of my old high school friends.  It was also a great show.

I decided to take Monday "off" and go fabric shopping.  Found lots of great fabric to keep me very busy for the next several weeks.

Can't wait for this show next weekend.  30 of my artist friends are coming together for a pop up at Helium on Ravenswood.  Same weekend as the Ravenswood Art Walk so there will be lots going on.

A few bags I was working on this week.  The new green dot circle fabric and a gray heavy cotton.  Love it!

Hot off the Press-September 7

The past 3 months have been a whirlwind of crazy.  June was filled with art shows every weekend.  July was full of traveling from an awesome trip to Disney to an adventurous back woods camping trip in the UP.  August was finally the month to chill and of course get the kids ready to go back to school.  Cole started Kindergarten this year.  His afternoon placement has worked out perfect for my work schedule.  I actually have 3 solid uninterrupted hours a DAY to crank out bags.  I can't even imagine the work I will get done next year when I have then ENTIRE day to work.  This weekend I will be at the Downtown Downers Grove Art Festival.  Stop by Booth 39 and say hi.  Saturday and Sunday 10 am to 5 pm.

A few bags Hot off the Press.  What do you think?

I decide to take the petals from the flowers and add them to a bag in a different way.  I like they way it turned out.

2 different way of adding the petals.  Which do you like better? Petals come out from the ribbon or covering the ribbon?

Hot off the Press-Friday, February 3

Last night was my Annual Clearance Event Open House.  This is one of my favorite events-I get to unload lots of older inventory.  Empty bins for new product.  Now is the tedious work of photographing all remaining bags and getting them on my website.  Official start date of the web sale is Monday. Hoping to get most the bags uploaded by Sunday night.

5 bins of clearance bags.
Cute flowers pins given to the first 30 people at the sale.  There are still a few left.
My sister's wedding is fast approaching.  Last shower is this weekend.  She decided to make her own bridesmaid bouquets.  They turned out so good.  I made matching wristlets for the girls.  The dresses are charcoal grey with the bright accent colors.
Still can't believe how awesome these turned out.  Felt flowers with button centers.

Ruffle wristlets.  Matching the accents colors.

I have FINALLY joined Pinterest.  Check out what I've been pinning
